WILD weather has swept across Melbourne today, causing train delays, power outages and plenty of shivering.
Train commuters can expect delays, with many lines suspended due to trees falling across tracks.
This includes the Frankston Line between Moorabbin and Carrum, the Hurstbridge Line, Belgrave Line, Lilydale and Stony Point Line.

Metro Trains has advised that limited replacement buses are in operation.
Power provider Powercore has listed power outages in Camberwell, Hawthorn and Balwyn North and St Kilda East.
South Melbourne Lifesaving Club’s base was flooded today, Ambulance Victoria tweeted this morning that a woman was hit by plastic roofing in Swanston St, Melbourne, with no serious injuries.
Victorian WorkCover Authority executive director of health and safety Len Neist warned construction companies to be aware of gale force winds.
“Every year there are serious incidents in which strong winds lead to the collapse of walls on buildings under construction,” Mr Neist said.
He advised construction workers to get more information from the Victorian WorkCover Authority.
“Builders must ensure partially-completed buildings and structures are well supported. Brick, block and concrete walls should be adequately braced until work is completed,” Mr Neist said.
Twitter has also erupted with people shivering their way through the day, and the #Melbweather hashtag going wild as the banks of the Yarra overflowed.
Bureau of Meteorology has issued warnings for storm force winds in the Port Phillip Bay region today and strong wind warnings for Port Phillip Bay for tomorrow.
Senior forecaster at the Bureau of Meteorology Terry Ryan said there was particularly rough weather along foreshore areas, including Port Phillip Bay.
St Kilda Harbour recorded wind gusts at 11.35am of 111km/h and Viewbank recorded 83km/h.
“The storm surge which comes through with strong winds has flooded areas too, the Nepean Hwy is closed, Southbank and the Yarra is flooded, with water is coming through the shops there,” he said.
He said it was due to high tide and the wind raising water levels.
“The winds are easing but we have another burst coming through overnight,” he said.
“The warnings are still out for winds to come through...wind gusts could get up to 90km/h tonight.”
There have been trees down across Melbourne including in Armadale, Hawthorn East, Balaclava, Port Melbourne.
