Police are wanting to speak with a man of Indian appearance following the sexual assault of two teenage girls on a crowded Melbourne tram.

Two teenage girls were sexually assaulted on a crowded tram in Melbourne in June, police say.
The year 11 students were travelling on the tram from the Domain Road interchange at St Kilda Road about 3.30pm on Friday June 20, a police spokeswoman said.
A man approached the pair from behind and indecently assaulted them, she said.
The man police wish to speak to.
Police said the victims believed the man to be of Indian appearance, 30 to 40 years old, with a medium build, brown eyes and short dark hair.
