There will also be some new secondary characters, including perhaps Lisa Tonkin who appeared as a friend of Lydia Schiavello’s in series one.

Another name that has been rumoured is Manuela Pless-Bennett.

Jewellery designer Susannah Fairley, whose label Fairley has taken off, is another name that has been mentioned but Confidential understands she won’t be part of the series.

As for the original six - Schiavello, Andrea Moss, Gina Liano, Jackie Gillies, Chyka Keebaugh and Janet Roach - Confidential understands the producers want all the ladies back.

They are contracted to three series.

Filming is tipped to start later this month.

It’s believed that series two will feature more Melbourne events, including the Spring Racing Carnival that was missing from last season.

The show was a water-cooler hit for Foxtel, with much of the storyline involving a feud between barrister Liano and Moss, who runs Liberty Belle skincare clinic with her husband Dr Chris Moss.
