Person feared injured in wall collapse in Brighton East, Melbourne - Herald Sun




A CONSTRUCTION worker has been killed in a wall collapse at a building site in Melbourne’s south-east.



The man was working at a property under construction in Elizabeth St, Brighton East, when the wall collapsed at 9.20am, police said.


It is believed the man was standing next to the brick wall, which was under construction, when it collapsed on him, a police statement said.


Police, Ambulance Victoria and MFB are at the scene.


WorkCover has been called in to investigate.


“The Victorian WorkCover Authority is aware of an incident and is on the way to the scene,” spokeswoman Kate Fawcett said.
