It’s the moment from episode two that had audiences cringing, but Real Housewives of Melbourne star Lydia Schiavello has no regrets over her awkward onscreen interaction with her adult stepson.

‘He is gorgeous,’ the 45-year-old told the MailOnline.

‘I don’t think I was perving on my step-son, I just think he’s very beautiful.’

In the second installment of the Foxtel Arena series, Lydia takes her step-son Sam Norbury out shopping with her to a local boutique.

Lydia showcased some lace cat ears in the store before picking up a sheer Dita Von Teese coat and trying it on with just a lace bra underneath.

She displayed the look for Sam and asked seductively: 'Do you like it? I think dad would love it.'

Sam awkwardly replied: 'Yeah of course, but can you wear stuff like that out to restaurants?'

In her TV interview, she tells the camera: ‘Sam’s very similar to his father: he’s such a big spunk.

‘Opps, did I say that step-mum?’ she says in the episode before giving herself a playful smack on the hand.

The 25-year-old Melbourne acting student is the son of Lydia’s second husband, renowned architect and property investor Andrew Norbury.

She says he volunteered to come along on the shopping spree in the episode because he ‘loves the fluff and all that’.

‘He’s a little mini-my-husband,’ she says.

‘He’s got a funny sense of humour, he’s kind and we have a wonderful relationship.

‘I thought it was lovely that he was so happy to come along and he’s just a gorgeous kid.

‘I always give the children compliments and confidence.'

It was an episode full of controversy, as psychic Jackie Gillies, 33, and barrister Gina Liano, 47, got into a heated argument over Jackie's abilities.

But off-screen the pair seem to have sorted out their differences, with Jackie defending Gina.

'Shes not a skeptic, she’s actually very psychic herself,' she told the MailOnline.

'I'm just skeptical of the voices that she's tapping into,' added Gina, who said she primarily deals with 'just the facts'.

'I don't trust what you're talking to because it's mischievous. It's not necessarily a good source.

'I have no doubts in my mind that Jackie has an incredible gift and that she's coming from a beautiful place.'

Real Housewives of Melbourne airs Sundays at 8.30pm.
