Body found in NZ may be that of missing Melbourne tennis coach Paul Arber - ABC Local

New Zealand police say they have recovered a body close to where a missing Australian man was last seen four days ago.

Police say the body was found floating in the Waikato River this morning.

It was two kilometres downstream from where 38-year-old tennis coach Paul Arber was last seen swimming early on Sunday morning.

They are yet to confirm the identity of the deceased, but local police say no-one else has been reported missing in the area.

Mr Arber, from Melbourne, was visiting the North Island city of Hamilton with a group of young players for a tennis tournament.

His parents Sam and Richelle Arber have flown to New Zealand to help with the search to find him.

They say their son had no history of mental illness, but had recently become obsessive about being close to nature.
