German ‘sonic house’ innovator Pantha Du Prince, house genius Jacques Lu Cont, Australian psych-house dudes Canyons, chillwavers, filmmakers and ‘Australian Sound’ exponents Naysayer & Gilsun, beatmaker Nosaj Thing and local innovator Roland Tings are just a few of the names locked in for this year’s massive Melbourne Music Week.
The jam-packed week features more than 230 performers playing at 110 events held across 60 venues in Melbourne’s CBD from November 15 to 24, including “industry events, workshops and awards, playful music adventures for kids, pop-up performances in record stores and cafes, exhibitions and cinema programs, weird and wacky events from the people of Melbourne, touring tram shows and late night partying.”
The late night partying includes a birthday celebration for label owning and party-throwing kids I Oh You, a Live Music Safari presented by our buddies over at FasterLouder and dozens of other events – check out the full program over at the Melbourne Music Week website , or watch the program intro video below.
