Melbourne's messiest house? - 3AW (blog)

Laverton residents are angry and confused after a house was trashed at the weekend.

One of the tenants of a Laverton rental house that was badly trashed at the weekend says he's not responsible for the mess.

As revealed on the Neil Mitchell program yesterday, a couch was hoisted onto the roof, a double mattress was wedged in a tree, and furniture and rubbish was strewn across the yard.

Tenant 'Nick' has today told Neil Mitchell he was recently evicted by the landlord.

"That was done by - I dunno ... (but) it wasn't us," Nick said.

"It's our couch - I'm not too sure who put the couch on the roof."

Today the area has been fenced off and the couch is no longer on the roof.

"It intrigues how anyone could so destructive," Neil Mitchell said yesterday.

"There has to have been offence committed here.

"We just need to work out what that crime is."

For sending in the photo, Leanne goes into the draw for a Neil's Pics prize.
