A man has been charged over the theft of a car that he allegedly took for a test drive in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs on Saturday.
Police say the man had arranged to take the $60,000 silver Audi for a road test from a Brighton car yard.
The salesman went on the test drive and was allegedly threatened with a shard of glass and was forced out of the car.
Police arrested Darren Brewer, 45, of Cowes, last night when they spotted the car at Laverton North, in Melbourne's west.
He has been charged with car theft, robbery and various other traffic related-offences.
Two passengers in the care were also interviewed by police.
