A New Zealand woman was found dead by her friend in her Melbourne apartment on Saturday.
Police believe Zahra Hammond, 27, lay dead for days before she was found in her bed in Williamstown, the New Zealand Herald reports.
Her mother asked a friend to check in on Ms Hammond, after she stopped answering phone calls and text messages.
Police are investigating the death and say it could be connected to medication Ms Hammond was taking, but autopsy results would show what was in her system.
Her cousin Kelly Gillard of Auckland told the Herald Ms Hammond “was such a beautiful girl and she loved her family and friends”.
She had recently moved to Melbourne to work in administration at a law firm.
