26 MINS: THe home fans aren't happy - Marcos Flores has been awarded a free kick after being fouled by Cassio. Thanfully for the Reds fans' sake, Adelaide manage to clear the resulting free kick.
24 MINS: Just as I was about to write there haven't been too many attacking highlights so far, Adelaide nearly fashions a chance. A nice move from Iain Ramsey almost plays in Jeronimo but Leigh Broxham is alert to the danger and clears for Melbourne VIctory.
19 MINS: Yellow card - Adelaide midfielder Osama Malik is booked for a cliumsy tackle on Jonathan Bru
13 MINS: Yellow card - Adelaide defender John McKain
12 MINS: The Reds might have just started this match the better and have already asked a couple of questions of Melbourne's defence, forcing Victory goalkeeper Nathan Coe to come off his line for a couple of timely interceptions.
HOW DID RAMSEY MISS THAT?!
6 MINS: Iain Ramsey has booked himself a spot in the end of season highlight reels - just not the ones he'd want to be a part of. The Reds midfielder misses an absolute sitter - and the chance to get Adelaide off to the perfect start. It couldn't have been any easier, Victory failing to deal with a ball into the box, the ball bouncing up off Dario Vidosic's head and right into the path of Ramsey, who's just a couple of yards out from the goal... But instead of tapping it into the back of the net, he inexplicably volleys it on to the cross bar. Definite contender for miss of the season. It will take some beating.
3 MINS: Boo! Oof! Former Adelaide star Marcos Flores hasn't receeived a nice recepetion from the Reds fans - nor his opponents. The Victory midfielder hits the deck after a late challenge from fellow Argentine Marcelo Carrusca, who gets a talking to from the ref. Melbourne win a free kick but don't do any damage.
1 MIN: And we're away. The Reds kick off - and kick the ball away, In fairness, Iain Ramsey was the target down the left, but he wasn't able to to get to the long pass first.

PREAMBLE - Reds face tough ask against red-hot Victory
The current fortunes of the two sides couldn't be more different - Melbourne Victory are on a roll as they maintain pressure on league-leading Central Coast, while Adelaide is in disarray.
The Reds are still fourth on the ladder, but got thumped 4-2 at home to Western Sydney Wanderers last round - their first game under interim coach Michael Valkanis.
They'll need a massive turnaround in performance to stop Victory's Archie Thompson, Marco Rojas and co from similarly lighting up Hindmarsh Stadium.
Victory do have some problems though - they're missing Socceroo Mark Milligan and young defender Nick Ansell.
Last time these teams met in Adelaide, the Reds romped to a 4-2 win. But the Victory have been on a roll since then.
