MELBOURNE plunged further into crisis after revelations its new recruiting boss, Jason Taylor, was involved in a physical stoush on an AFL-sanctioned trip to Europe.
The Demons last night confirmed Taylor was in an altercation as part of the AIS/AFL trip to Milan.
It is believed the fracas involved the brother of Greater Western Sydney backman Stephen Gilham.
The club would not comment last night other than to say it would investigate the matter. The AFL is aware of an incident.
Taylor joined the Demons from Collingwood at the end of last season.
The nation's leading draft prospects toured Europe to play exhibition games and train at elite facilities under the close watch of the AFL's recruiters.
