MICHAEL Rodd is likely to replace the suspended James McDonald aboard Derby winner It's A Dundeel in Saturday week's Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick.
The Queen Elizabeth (2000m) is almost certainly on It's A Dundeel's agenda but the Melbourne Cup may not be.
Trainer Murray Baker said the cup had taken a toll on his previous runners.
He hinted he would like to race It's A Dundeel in Europe, a plan that would be endorsed by Mick Kent.
Kent said It's A Dundeel could win the Prix de L'Arc De Triomphe in Paris.
Slow Awakening
AWAKENING Dream would seem to have lots of ground to make up in a hurry if he is to go back-to-back in the Grand Annual Steeplechase at Warrnambool next month.
In a steeplechase at Hamilton, Awakening Dream ran near last behind Berlioz. It was Awakening Dream's first start since his 15-length win in the Annual last May.
Time to hit the Hay

Once regarded as the second-best sprinter in Australia, Hay List pulled up with a poor respiratory recovery after a dismal effort in Saturday's T.J. Smith Stakes at Randwick.
Callanish hurt
THE Mick Price stable has defended Callanish, described by a broadcaster as a "money muncher". Callanish finished near-last at Flemington on Saturday, pulling up with an injury after being galloped on.
