Avalon no second Melbourne international airport, says Barry O'Farrell - The Australian



NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell has dismissed moves to promote Avalon Airport, near Geelong, as a second international airport for Melbourne.



The Victorian and federal governments are supporting a move by Avalon, owned by transport magnate Lindsay Fox, to set itself up as a second international airport for Melbourne and airline officials have confirmed they are in active talks with several airlines.
