Melbourne leaders pull plug on annual $25 alarm fees
Tuesday night, the Melbourne City Council eliminated those controversial annual fees by adopting a revised alarm ordinance by 5-0 vote. Mayor Kathy Meehan did not attend because of a death in the family, and Councilwoman Molly Tasker was out of town.
