Fifteen people have been arrested in two separate raids across Melbourne targeting alleged drug syndicates.
Properties were searched in Hume, Moonee Valley and Moreland in an operation that police said aimed to bust crystal methamphetamine dealers. Three people were arrested by 9.30am, including a 27-year-old Keilor East woman who is expected to be charged with trafficking.
In a separate investigation, 12 people were arrested when nine warrants were executed on homes in Mentone, Richmond, Footscray, Flemington, Braybrook, Thornbury, Sunbury and Fitzroy.
Police said it was part of an eight-month investigation into a "multi-million dollar organised drug trafficking syndicate". Searches are still under way, but investigators say they found a significant amount of cash, white powder believed to be heroin and drug manufacturing equipment.
