An issue with barcodes meant North Melbourne members were unable to buy tickets for their elimination final against Essendon at the MCG on Saturday.

Tickets went on sale at 9am on Monday and while other club members were able to secure seats, it appears North's fans were locked out due to their barcodes not working.

North Melbourne said on its club website that it was aware of the issues with the Ticketek/AFL system, but said that members should be able to purchase tickets despite the morning's delays.

"The North Melbourne bays are member protected, meaning there will be seats available in the club designated areas regardless of the delays," the club said.
