They have been friends for 20-years and seen each other through cancer and near fatal fires, but the friendship between Janet Roach and Gina Liano wasn't strong enough to survive the Real Housewives Of Melbourne feud.
After trying to resolve their respective issues in the latest episode of the reality series, the two women called it quits following a heated argument in a Melbourne nightspot.
With Gina, 47, still reeling after the group's verbal attack on her at Mission Beach and her continuing stalemate with Andrea Moss, 45, the barrister was hoping to discuss the situation with Janet and invite her to a cancer fundraiser.
It's on!: Gina Liano and Janet Roach go head-to-head in the latest episode of Real Housewives Of Melbourne
Oh no she didn't: The 55-year-old was shocked with Gina's unapologetic response
But comments she had made to Lydia Schiabello, 43, where she had reported that Janet had called her 'brainless' proved a sore point for the feisty blonde.
'Thanks b****,' the 55-year-old said to Gina.
'I don't gossip,' replied the fellow housewife.
'In a group of six girls, four of them are unhappy with you.'
'Can I just say that the only other thing that they have been upset about is the things that you've reported to them. That was good of you.'
'Well thanks, you did the same thing to me,' replied Janet, before pushing on to her main question.
'Why wouldn't you apologise?'
Straight talker: The 47-year-old didn't shy away from the hard topics, telling Janet she wanted an apology and not the other way around
Caught out: Earlier in the episode Lydia Schiavello confronted Janet over comments that she had made to Gina, calling her 'brainless'
'For what? The way they spoke to me? I think they owe me an apology, Janet. Andrea morphed into a man.'
For Gina, the argument was a realisation that 'Janet's definitely a troublemaker'.
The litigious letter that Gina CC'd several of the housewives in on via email was again brought up, with her still claiming that she didn't mean to threaten to sue her friends and that they had misinterpreted it.
'Stop all that sh** and trying to wipe over it,' Janet replied to her defence.
'I can only be responsible for what I say, I can't be responsible for what you understand,' said Gina.
'Why do you want to sue your girlfriends?'
'That's the end of the friendship': Janet and Gina didn't end things on the best terms, deciding that they're 20-year friendship was done
Burned bridges: Chkya Keebaugh tried to organise a group shopping trip to mend the group earlier in the episode, but Gina and Andrea Moss refused to talk to each other
'I don't! You know what, maybe I should do it. Why not? It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's like I'm copping a beating for something I'm not doing. What do you want me to say?'
'I want you to say I'm sorry for hurting their feelings.'
'I have no interest in their feelings,' Gina bit back.
'You hurt their feelings!'
'Well bad luck.'
The dramatic conversation came to an end in the only way it could, with both ladies declaring 'that's the end of the friendship'.
Janet left the bar shortly after, appearing visibly upset while Gina continued to text on her phone.
The feud continues: The Real Housewives Of Melbourne feud between Gina and the other women isn't over yet, with plenty of unresolved issues remaining
