Melbourne High School students back in class after bomb threat - MyFoxOrlando.com

MELBOURNE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) -

The Melbourne Police Department says they found no physical threat to Melbourne High School after a bomb threat was made Tuesday morning.

Officers say they got a call around 9:00am from someone saying they placed a bomb on campus.

The Brevard County School Board says they placed the school on lock down.

Officers say all students and faculty were evacuated while they searched the school with K9 units.

Administration says they were alerted to a verbal threat and immediately began working with law enforcement.

Officials say school staff worked with food services to ensure that employees and students had water available to them during the evacuation.

At approximately 12:15 pm, authorities issued an all clear, allowing students and staff to return to normal school activities.
