A VICTORIAN couple is planning to marry at the Bruce Springsteen concert tonight — either on stage or in the mosh pit.

Shane Brundell and Julie Barrass, who live in the Macedon Ranges, rode to AAMI Park in a horse-drawn carriage at midday today to get premium spot in front of the stage hoping to catch Springsteen’s attention.

Ms Gittus hopes the wedding happens on stage. If not, Shane and Julie will take their vows in the mosh pit.

“The aim is to have Bruce Springsteen invite us on stage,” Ms Gittus said.

“We will hold out until the last song for that invitation. If that doesn’t happen, we’ll do the wedding in the pit.”

Mr Brundell and Ms Barrass have three kids aged 14, 12 and 7. Their oldest child has cystic fibrosis.

Mr Brundell said: “With the kids, and our battles, we’ve never found the right time to get married. But this feels like the right moment.

“We love The Boss. His music resonates in our lives.”

The couple will celebrate their honeymoon at Springsteen’s second AAMI Park show tomorrow.
