A SUSPECTED serial sex attacker is in police custody after officers swooped on a camping ground in the Otways and arrested a 17-year-old.
A Colombian national was cuffed about 12.20pm today at a camping ground in Johanna near Apollo Bay.
The teenager is believed to be responsible for three sexual assaults in and around Melbourne's CBD since November.
Sexual Crimes Squad detectives appealed for public assistance earlier this week to identity a man believed to be responsible for a spate of sexual assaults in Melbourne's CBD on January 18, in South Melbourne on December 7 last year and in the CBD on November 9.
The 17-year-old man is currently in police custody assisting with inquiries.
