Melbourne Airport flights delayed by technical problem - ABC Online

Flights at Melbourne Airport have been delayed because of a technical problem with the Melbourne control tower.


There are reports the tower has lost power but Airservices Australia and Melbourne Airport are not commenting on the precise nature of the problem.


Airservices Australia as a safety precaution, all traffic into and out of the airport has been slowed down and that there will be flow on effects to the national air traffic network.


Melbourne Airport is warning of significant delays.


Flights were suspended for a short period of time but have resumed.


Passengers are advised to check with their airline for further information.
