A MELBOURNE woman found with life-threatening injuries in her home may have been attacked by someone she met on a dating website.



Shey Webber, 34, was found unconscious at her home in Warranwood in Melbourne's northeast on November 6 at 10.20am after a courier delivering a parcel saw blood and signs of a disturbance through her front window.


Ms Webber was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.


Police are holding a press conference with Ms Webber's family at 11am.


Police believe Ms Webber had been active on dating websites and may have met men through the sites.


Detectives from the Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit wish to speak with a man who was seen at Ms Webber's home in Regency Terrace the night she was discovered unconscious.


It was reported the man drove up her driveway at about 10.10pm.

The man got out of his car and tried to open the front door, but it was locked.


He returned to his car, collected a camera and took a series of photographs.


Police would like to talk to anyone who may have had contact with Ms Webber or known her whereabouts between 9am on November 1 and 10.30am on November 6, the Melbourne Cup long weekend.
