An injured kangaroo has been captured in a Melbourne Airport chemist after a short adventure through the Qantas terminal.
The rogue roo hopped its way past travellers before it was found perusing the hair care section of the pharmacy.
A Melbourne Airport spokesperson said the boomer was visibly distressed after being hit by a vehicle early on Wednesday morning.
The chemist was shut down by federal police before volunteers from Wildlife Australia were able to corner and safely tranquillise the eastern grey.
He was then taken to a vet for assessment and treatment.
The prognosis on Cyrus - named after one of his rescuers - is unknown, but Wildlife Victoria says he was bloodied and could have broken bones.
It is not the first time airport staff have been caught off guard by a wayward kangaroo.
One sneaked into the multi-storey car park of the airport in January this year. A similar incident occurred in October last year.
