Mal Walden will retire as Ten's Melbourne newsreader in December.
Network Ten today announced Walden, a constant presence on Melbourne television for 40 consecutive years, will step down as senior Ten News Melbourne newsreader on December 4 and will be replaced by Stephen Quartermain.
