UNIVERSITY of Melbourne staff will strike for 24 hours from noon Wednesday as they campaign for better pay and conditions.
National Tertiary Education Union branch president Ted Clark said members were taking the action in response to senior management's "aggressive approach" in enterprise bargaining negotiations.
Job security, staff rights and workload were key sticking points in the longrunning industrial stalemate.
Hundreds of academics walked off the job in May as part of the campaign.
