A MAN is in hospital after he was shot multiple times in Melbourne's inner north early this morning.
Emergency services were called to Waterfield Rd in Coburg about 12.20pm, where it's believed the Preston man, 36, received multiple wounds to his lower body.
Paramedics took him to the Royal Melbourne Hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Armed Crime Taskforce are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
