A man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after being dragged from a house fire in Melbourne's southwest.
CFA firefighters were called to reports of a heater fire at the Werribee house about 7.30am (AEST).
Crews arrived to find it well alight and a man unconscious inside. They performed CPR until paramedics arrived shortly later.
The man, in his 20s, suffered burns and smoke inhalation, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to the Alfred Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The blaze took about 20 minutes to control and fire investigators will examine its cause.
