ONE man has died and another man is injured after a wall collapsed at a building site in Melbourne.
The incident occurred at a site on Hawthorn Rd, Caulfield South, shortly before 10am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said paramedics were called to the building site after reports a wall collapsed on two men at a property undergoing renovation.
He said one man had died and the other had been pulled out with fractures.
Emergency services are still on the scene, and police have asked motorists to avoid the area.
Details about the ages of the men are not available at this stage.
The accident has revived memories of a fatal wall collapse at Carlton which killed three people just before Easter amid strong winds, but weather conditions in Melbourne today have been relatively benign.
