Melbourne IT blamed for Twitter and New York Times outages - The Australian

HACKERS have brought down the New York Times website apparently after exploiting a vulnerability in Australian domain name registrar Melbourne IT.

The newspaper said its site had become unavailable "after an online attack on the company's domain name registrar, Melbourne IT'".
