A man has been shot in the leg at Altona North, in Melbourne's west, this morning.
Police were called to McIntosh Drive about 6:30am (AEST).
They found a 39-year-old man who had been shot through his thigh.
The man been taken to hospital for treatment.
Acting Senior Sergeant Fiona Waters says so far little is known about the offender or the victim.
