3AW hosts Ross and John have increased their breakfast dominance with a big boost in the ratings over nearest rival ABC774.
The Fairfax Radio duo's total audience share jumped 1.0 percentage points in the latest Nielsen survey to 19.4 per cent, a lead of 4.6 percentage points over the public broadcaster.
In the competitive morning radio slot, ABC774's Jon Faine and 3AW's Neil Mitchell both enjoyed an identical lift of 0.4 percentage points to claim 15.5 and 14.2 per cent of the total audience share respectively.
Austereo stations Fox FM and Triple M shed listeners across all timeslots with Triple M falling two places to sixth overall.
Nova's breakfast team Dave Hughes and Kate Langbroek closed in on rivals FOXFM jumping 1.4 percentage points to be just 0.1 behind Matt Tilley and Jo Stanley.
Across all timeslots, ratings leader 3AW improved by 0.7 to take 13.5 per cent of the audience share overall, increasing its lead over ABC774 to 1.1 percentage points.
