THE colossal hand of King Kong emerged from the top of Eureka today, clutching aerial stunt artist Leigh-Anne Vizer.
The hand had been constructed around the Eureka building management unit, used to clean the tower's windows, and Ms Vizer was harnessed into the hand about 11am.
Media assembled on the Eureka roof to witness her being fitted into the hand.

She even screamed, in keeping with her Ann Darrow character.
But a spokeswoman for Eureka said Ms Vizer was just acting, admitting that she could not wait to get out into the air.

While media moved off the roof, down to the 89th floor of the Eureka Tower to watch from the window, Ms Vizer was gradually lifted off the roof in the hand and lowered a level.
She stayed suspended, 300m above the ground, for about 10 minutes trying a range of poses for awaiting media before being taken back to the roof.

But, with nerves of steel, she repeated the exercise for a second run through soon after.
The hand will remain at Skydeck on Level 88 of Eureka Tower for the next nine months to celebrate the opening of King Kong the Musical on June 15 at the Regent Theatre.
The hand was designed by Christian Wagstaff, creative director of Creative Production Services.
He is also designer for tonight's lavish 1930s theme cocktail party on Level 89 of Eureka.
