MELBOURNE, Fla. —
Three men were hit by an SUV while fishing on a Brevard County bridge, and two did not survive, said the Melbourne Police Department Tuesday.
Police said the SUV hit the three men who were fishing off the Eau Gallie Causeway in Melbourne at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, and one was thrown into the Indian River.
The man who survived the crash was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.
Authorities said the driver, whose name was not released, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The names of the victims were not released.
The investigation into the incident continues, police said.
