AN 71-year-old man has died in hospital a week after he was repeatedly stabbed outside a Melbourne home, police say.
Police say the man, who was stabbed at a Williamstown property in the late afternoon of April 2, knew his alleged attacker.
A 76-year-old man was originally charged with intentionally causing serious injury, but homicide detectives are now reviewing the case in light of the victim's death in hospital on Wednesday.
