THE cause of a large chemical factory fire in Melbourne's north is yet to be determined.
Almost 60 firefighters fought the blaze at a chemical recycling plant in Campbellfield, which broke out about 11pm (AEDT) on Wednesday.
A community warning was issued because of the smoke but has since been lifted.
The cause of the fire will be investigated later on Thursday.
