Boy charged over Melbourne river path rape - The Australian




A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with rape after a woman was sexually assaulted while running beside a Melbourne river.



Police say the woman was running along the Maribyrnong River path in Burndap Park last Friday when she was allegedly sexually assaulted.


The Kealba boy has also been charged over a sexual assault in the carpark of Hoppers Crossing railway station last November.


The boy faces two counts of rape, two counts of false imprisonment, robbery, theft and associated assault charges.


He was remanded in custody to appear at a children's court at a later date.
